Company History
AMSCO was established in Nakhon Ratchasima province on 24th of September in 1987 and started to export all cargoes to Japan at the initial stage. In 2000, our factory was transferred to Kalasin Province in North-East local area of Thailand and have operated until now. In under 30 years, our company had faced many difficulties but our previous senior and employees in AMSCO could overcome them, then, now we become the leading company of specialized starch and sell our products to over the world. We are confident that our products help to improve quality of processed foods and bring happiness to the people in the world. Our efforts and challenges will be never stopped. AMSCO was officially registered with Ministry of Commerce (MOC) in Thailand, whose shareholders at that time were Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), Thai-MC Company Limited, Nihon Shokuhin Kako Co.,Ltd., Korat Flour Industry Co.,Ltd.
Employment of staffs was started and AMSCO recruited total 46 persons at the original staffs. Our operation was started in Korat Factory (Nakhon Ratchashima province). The Initial product line up were all industrial modified starch and all exported to Japan. Also, AMSCO launched food modified starch “MT-01” & “K-1” in this year, which have been leading products in the market since that time.
AMSCO launched Bangkok Head Office. Also, in this year, we received award of "Safety Working Place & Condition" from Thai labour office.
MC acquired Native Starch Manufacture in Kalasin, “Roj Anan Kalasin Co., Ltd.” It was named “Asia Native Starch Co.,Ltd. (ASCO)” and registered to Ministry of Commerce.
AMSCO was certified by HALAL.
Application Centre was set up in Bangkok in order to prepare various proposal and meet customer’s satisfaction in the world. Also, in this year, transferred the factory of AMSCO from Korat to Kalasin.
ASCO was unified in AMSCO that became the completed plant from root to modified starch. Asia Starch Holding Co.,Ltd. (ASH) was established and updated shareholders of AMSCO were ASH and Nihon Shokuhin Kako Co.,Ltd.
Biogas plan in Cassava Waste to Energy Co.,Ltd. which located to near factory and started to supply biogas to AMSCO.
1st AMSCO Cup which was football games by inviting local teams and aimed to make good friendship with local society through the games.
AMSCO newly launched native starch factory and increase production capacity of native starch.
Started the scholarship to local students from schools nearby factory.
Started the voluntary activity of blood donation in Kalasin factory. After that, this activity became regular annual event in AMSCO.
Attended FIA (Food Ingredients Asia, one of the big exhibition in the food ingredients industry) to strength sales activities.
Concluded MOU with Kalasin province about development farming for Cassava farmer in Kalasin.
Concluded MOU with Khon Kaen University about development farming for Cassava farmer in Kalasin.
